Colocation Cages
For organizations that have a requirement for economically priced data center floor space that is partitioned off and secured from the rest of a shared area, Consort offers colocation cages.
Service Description
A caged area extends anywhere from 50 to 1000 square feet and is enclose by solid steel wire mesh. The wire mesh extends from the ceiling to floor and on all sides of the secured area (concrete to concrete).
The wire mesh physically separates one tenant's equipment from another. Consort provides and maintains all of the rooms infrastructure including power, connectivity, cooling, and protective systems such as fire suppression and temperature monitoring.
An Economical Security Solution
The cage is a simple and low cost way to provide a restrictive barrier within a shared colocation environment.
This wire barrier prevents unauthorized personnel from entering a given space, while still enabling the area to receive the benefits of a shared data center such as cooling, fire suppression, environmental control, and other infrastructure systems Some organization may wish to carve out a specific area within their own walled-in data center. The cages can even be placed within another cage to secure specific equipment or supplies from unintended use. The cages are made of thick 8-gauge galvanized steel wire forming a rectangular pattern that is welded at each intersection
Multiple security measures are employed to protect your computing infrastructure.
Consort also utilizes video surveillance and motion sensors for entrances, interior doors, and critical equipment locations within the building. The cages are secured via card-key, biometric, or other similar locks depending on customer requirements. Security guards are on-sight 24x7 everyday of the year.Tailored to Your Needs

The colocation cages are customizable and can be sized and configured to meet your organization's specific requirements. Ordinarily, this is a far less expensive security option to implement versus a traditional solid wall.
